The closest I could find on amazon was this one by a different name
It also sucks for general navigation. Using the little Dpad on the bottom right is too small. There is no dedicated select and back buttons, so you have to use the Enter or Escape buttons, and sometimes those don't always register in certain apps.
If you want something genuinely good for using as a one-handed remote and for occasionally using as a keyboard (for quick text entry), then get something like this.
They sell for about £12 on Amazon.
It's 2.4 GHz, backlit and use a USB dongle; it uses 2x AAA batteries, but can last about 2+ weeks without needing a battery change. It has IR learning for 4 buttons at the bottom, useful for TV power, AV and volume. The airmouse is shockingly good, and feels a little like using a Wii remote; it's much faster to point at things, than a trackpad, and even doing nimble things, like highlighting and copying text, works well.
There are variations of that remote, that have more keyboard buttons (such as ctrl, shift, etc) but they're harder to find nowadays, or they're more expensive, e.g.: this one.
Yes it is. I got that link from my order history.
BUT!!!! Read your threads!
There is a better one that r/kodi has agreed upon as the best one! And it is still less than $20, and people have used them for almost 2 years no without problems!
Here is the post here referred to. But find it on this thread and thank him!
And here is the remote he suggested. Still, very inexpensive!
I've had one for years, and love everything about it, except that I really wish it had a mouse button on the left side of the keyboard, so I could move with my right thumb and click with my left. Having to move my right thumb off the pad to click each time is really cumbersome and awkward (and "tap pad to click" is unreliable).
I have a full-size wireless Logitech keyboard with the touchpad on the right, and it's too big to easily keep by the couch and pick up as needed (like the Rii), but it has a mouse button on the upper left corner, and it makes a world of difference.
What I've settled on is something like this: https://www.amazon.com/AuviPal-Universal-Keyboard-Programmable-Raspberry/dp/B07LD5DPNR. Point it at the screen and use like a Wiimote for mouse, and flip it over for keyboard.
I have two of these, running strong for 18 months or so. I can use both of my TV setups with only one control.
I've tried a million of the cheap rebranded chinese remotes and this one is the best. Not perfect, but would buy again.
