Ah, yeah I'm not experiencing any of those problems yet. I think yours went bad. Mine lags a tiny bit especially when measuring in grams, but it seems to go up according to how much I add eventually.

Honestly, I wouldn't spend a ton on a new scale. I just can't imagine it being worth it. You could look at getting an analog scale if you don't want to replace batteries and want something that is longer lasting.
