I got one a few months before my surgery and I haven’t looked back since! I loved it so much I got a travel bidet and won’t travel without it. A bidet is a life saver post-op, I didn’t need anyone to take care of my hygine and it made me feel much cleaner until I was cleared to shower. When you first use one, it’s a startling feeling but you quickly get used to it.
If you don’t want to install one you can just get a travel bidet instead. You can fill the resevoir with lukewarm water to ease into it. (Hot water isn’t recommended.) This is a good one and is $27:

what was the issue with it? i do think it might be annoying to have to squeeze and aim at the same time.
did you ever try or consider something like this?
looks like a case of the same factory in china but these seem pretty popular and are cheaper.
might try the FOOFOO one as well. Im actually about to go on a trip out of state in a few days and this summer I got enligntened to the bidet and absolutely refuse to go back lmao.
