I use these three products when washing my hair, and this leave-in conditioner while oiling my scalp with this hair oil and this hair growth oil.
So far these work the best for me. One thing I can’t stress enough is not leaving my hair out, especially during winter/colder weather (as I live in Canada). That’s what caused my hair to break the most.
JUST A QUICK LIST OF WHAT I DO/USE
1-always having my hair in a protective style (usually box braids, that I leave in for a few months. If you do your own hair, try cornrows or twists, and replenish them when they start to look un-neat)
2- using the above products. I don’t wash my hair that often (since they are in box braids/extensions) and I think that has helped as well.
3-never detangling/combing out my hair in a dry state. Just TERRIBLE for your hair. Even if you just use water or a leave-in conditioner, it helps tremendously. I saw that you said you use a pick. I personally don’t use one, and prefer to use denman brushes and just regular plastic combs and wide-tooth combs (for detangling). A pick isn’t that useful for ME.
4-using a silk scarf AND bonnet. If you wear cornrows, a durag is equally beneficial. PLEASE USE THESE, especially if your pillowcases are cotton/non-silk fabrics.
That’s all I can think of right now. I know it’s a lot, but it’s all important :)
