The rod is the White River Heat from Bass Pro which had a lot of good reviews, especially for kayak anglers like myself, as it’s not too long. $99. The reel is a Fiblink I found on Amazon for $35 which also had a lot of good reviews, and is salt capable. For the price, I figured I would take a risk as the alternative is a $300-$600 salt reel. Look forward to trying it out on the Texas coast as well as on the waters here in central Texas.

I’m an Astros and Longhorn fan if you couldn’t tell by the color.
