I have a Littman lightweight ii - less expensive than most stethoscopes, and also not gonna lie I love that it's lightweight. Also, because the bell/diaphragm is not metal, it doesn't get cold - so that's a bonus for patients. Some of my friends complain about wearing their stethoscope on their neck because it feels so heavy. Not a problem with this one. Also, I have tried listening to some of my friends more expensive littmans and comparing it to mine while listening to the same people - I can't hear a single difference. I'm sure if you were a cardiologist or having something specialized then maybe you want a more specialized stethoscope...but frankly for nursing school purposes, and even most of nursing, you just need to be able to hear and have it be comfortable in your ears.
I have a casio watch, I think it was like $12. I like it. Just get something water resistant, cheap, and comfortable. You never know when there's gonna be a literal shitstorm or who knows what else that would make you want to chuck your watch in the trash.
