the entire house via knob and tube wiring, I figure the least I can do is add in GFCI and then use something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZK65GXC/ref=ewc_pr_img_13?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1 or a power strip on each outlet with a 15A breaker in it
Rewiring isn't an option as I rent, but I feel unsafe with the current state of affairs as I recently experienced a ground fault which started a small fire/spark just outside the outlet for a few seconds where some dust built up.
My plan is to either replace the breaker with a GFCI and then use 15A breakers on each outlet via powerstrips like above, or I could replace every outlet with GFCI and also add the 15A breakers via powerstrips. I am hoping to be able to use a breaker since my landlord would want everything put back when I leave and rewiring every outlet in the house twice is a lot of work.
