I'll add that the idea of probiotics doesn't really appeal to me. It may work, but I feel like I'd just become dependent on them. I've heard that "food derived" bacteria don't commonly take up a residence in our bodies and so you need to constantly supply more?
Apparently the commonly used strain is Lactobacillus Sakei. The website lactobacto.com makes the argument for why this strain works.
Does anyone know of a source for L. Sakei that's not food derived?
If there's other scientific evidence that supports a better treatment, I'd like to learn about it.
