I used that exact Dayton amp for a few years with my Denon turntable and Kef Q100s.
Loved it.
It was an absolutely marvelous little amp that performed very well — not just for the money — but against much more expensive options.
I swapped it out for a very nice vintage Yahmaha unit and recently purchased the Denon PMA-900.
Are those more expensive units better? Yes.
Do they make the Dayton amp sound and look like garbage? Not at all!
The Dayton definitely holds its own against the bigger brothers.
I fully recommend this little Dayton pre-tube amp for a starter turntable/2 channel set up. It’s an excellent, excellent performer and you will be very happy with it.
I also recommend the Ortofon 2m Blue cartridge for any turntable. Skip the Red and go right to Blue if you can. Huge difference across the board.
As for speakers, I can’t say enough good things about the Triangle BR02s and BR03s. Please give these some serious consideration:

For reference, I also own Elac UB5s, Kef Q100s, Klipsch RB14s, and the Triangle BR09 towers.
I like Triangles the best out of all of them.
