Thank you for this info. I bought a used Razer Core X, a brand-new 3060, and a brand-new Anker TB3 cable. I was suffering from the last problem. I used Cuda-Z, and found that the speeds were anywhere from 1,300 - 1,800. Not nearly good enough. I ordered the spigen TB4 cable in the post. It's coming in two days. I will update this comment when I test it.
Edit 1: I purchased the extremely expensive Apple Thunderbolt 4 pro cable from Microcenter last night. It straight up didn't work. It charged my device through the Razer Core, but the Win Max 2 didn't see the 3060 card. I unplugged it and plugged in the Razer Core standard cable and it recognized the GPU right away. The Apple TB4 Pro cable is 1.8 meters, which may have something to do with it not working with USB4. (I returned it and am actually glad it didn't work since it's $130)
I just received 2 cables from Amazon. One is the Spigen cable in the post and the other is a Cable Matters cable.
Spigen: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09198FV8S?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details
Cable Matters: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Q79BY1X?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
The Cable Matters cable is 100 - 150MIB/s faster than the Spigen at idle. The following speeds are using the Cable Matters cable. Both cables are way faster than the Razer Core X stock cable.
Cuda speeds at idle:
Host to device - 2475
Device to host - 2750
Marvel's Spider-Man doesn't seem to utilize the gpu to the fullest, so no matter what graphics setting it's at, the fps is anywhere from 20-50 fps. It's terrible. Warzone runs much better at medium settings, 2560x1080 60-90fps. If anyone knows why certain games use more of the gpu than others' I would love to know.
Edit 2: I purchased a new EGPU. It's the Akitio Node Titan and it has fixed virtually all of my problems. The speeds reach 3000MIB/s with this enclosure. Spider-Man runs much better (still not great, but basically playable, especially capped at 30fps) and all other games run much better. Not entirely sure what makes the Akitio work better than the Core X, but I can confirm that, at least with the Win Max 2, it's a much better time.
