I'm copying and pasting this for you I hope it helps!
POCKETS: I use a mixture of these pockets. I picked pockets bc more affordable than all in ones (AIO) and dry faster and no crevices for poop to get stuck in very easy to clean. If you can buy a used stash off craigslist or eBay that's the best. I never could pull that off so I bought appx 20 pockets. 30 I hear is ideal but I only have 20 and it's been fine. I would rotate between buying the Alva pockets and Mama Koala pockets whatever was on sale. Each diaper comes with two inserts
DIAPER INSERTS: if you want to get a better insert than the one that comes with the pockets these are nice but not necessary at all. I double in the am when he pees more and over night. I do think these are worth the extra money they are way better than ones that come with the pockets not much money.

DIAPER PAIL AND WET BAGS : For diaper pail I bought this trash can from Target and have 2 wet bags that I got on Amazon that I line the can with and wash when I wash the diapers. All dirties go into the pail and there is no stinky room or weird smells it's super contained. Poop goes in the toilet it peels off the diaper easily and then I do a quick scrub with a nail brush and dish soap and into the pail it goes.
You do need 2 wet bags because when you wash one you need another ready to go. I bought wet bags off Amazon "Teamoy (2 Pack) Reusable Pail Liner for Cloth Diaper/Dirty Diapers Wet Bag, Gray Chevron+Slate"

For on the go wet bags I got these and always keep one in my diaper bag
DIAPER CREAM: I use Aquaphor for diaper cream and that's been fine with the pockets. Generic brand aquaphor and other Vaseline type products did not work the same as the Aquaphor.
LAUNDRY SOAP: I use Kirkland brand detergent (generic version of original Tide) from Costco with about 1/4 cup Odoban concentrate that you can buy on Amazon or at Home Depot. I do a normal wash. I drop poop in toilet off diaper it peels off the microfiber and lazily hand scrub diapers that were pooped on in the sink with dish soap and warm water. Then throw in wet bin. Takes very little time. Natural soaps didn't work to really get the stink out and get things really clean and fresh which you really need to do otherwise you can get yeast and rashes and funk that grows in the diaper and it's not good for beebsie. If you don't like scent try Tide unscented.
I just got a small simple human one, thought it would be too small but it fits 4-5 dirty diapers, each in their own zippered wet bag. They give me the dirty diapers at the end of each day. I send in a Teamoy cloth pail liner with it.
