Weirdly, our fan stopped this morning - it was the charge! So maybe that regular USB port doesn't actually charge. In looking at the specs, it says it's flash storage. So I'm going to buy that USB to micro adapter to plug it into the other slot.
For me, the bigger draw to this fan was that it doesn't block the screen for me.
