A lot of great knives out there and choosing one certainly depends on what you plan to use it for. Mora's are great but I also like Ontario Knife Company and have a few of theirs. Keeping it under $50 you may consider this one, which I just bought for a gift for someone, and though I have not used it was very happy with the feel of it. https://www.amazon.com/Ontario-Knife-Company-8680-Survival/dp/B075S58XDMIf you spend a little more this one is a classic, and very stout for just about any survival use from knife to hammer to spear tip etc... https://www.amazon.com/Ontario-Force-Survival-Knife-Black/dp/B001CZDQPI/ref=pd_lpo_3?pd_rd_i=B001CZDQPI&psc=1 and they are made in the USA!
