not sure what kind of gas dryer you have, as I have an old bare-bones style...and when it spin but wouldn't heat up it turned out to be a simple thermal fuse. It was like 5 bucks on amazon. Easy to test (if you have a multimeter).
You blew the thermal fuse on the dryer. you probably knock a bunch of lint loose in the vent and clogged it. use a leaf blower on it possibly from outside in and vice versa to clear it out. Im assuming the lint filter on your dryer is on top by control panel since you can see the glowing inside the dryer. that means the thermal fuse is behind it on the blower housing.
