Name: HP USB-C Dock G4

Displays: 2x DisplayPort // 1x HDMI

Ethernet: Yes. Haven't used it, though.

USB Ports: 2x USB 2.0 // 2x USB 3.0 // 2x USB-C - One for host device.

Extras:- Low profile hardware.- Host device USB-C cable included.- External power cord to charge device while in use.- Aux port included.- While not technically advertised as portable, the dock is slim and small enough to pack without much consideration.

Issues:

- The dock gets extremely warm with extended use. That said, it hasn't shorted out or turned off due to heat in my daily experience.
- I have yet to use all three external ports at once. But I have used the two external DisplayPorts and my Pixelbook's screen at the same time. In order to get consistent resolution, I had to set all resolutions to ~1080p. Any higher on any screen, and it limits the output of the other screens to an unreasonably small size. I believe this is a PB limitation, though.
-If I reset the laptop, I have to reconfigure resolutions; otherwise, resolution settings are remembered.
- One of my peripherals are hooked up by USB through the dock. The other is hooked up to my Pixelbook via Bluetooth directly. When I'm using my Pixelbook closed and to the side, it will not wake up from sleep by trying to use either of the peripherals. I've had to open, wake, and close my laptop to get to use my external monitors again.

Recommend it?: Yes. For consistent use, it hasn't quite failed me yet. Most issues I've described above are ones which I believe to be rooted in the Pixelbook software itself.

EDIT: While the HP USB-C dock was doing great for me, the dual-monitor 1080p limits were a little tight for me. I upgraded to a D6000 by Dell, and it's able to handle both of my 2K monitors at native resolution via DP, without issue.

The dock itself is rated to handle up to 5K pixels in total, I believe.

Beyond this, it has a few more ports than the HP dock described above (including audio), is sized similarly to the HP--it's only a little taller--and it comes at a comparable price.

Recommended above the HP, for sure.
