The japan import ultimate controller on amazon is probably your best bet https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Controller-Super-Smash-Bros-switch/dp/B07HC2F97Q/
You can also look on ebay for used controllers
You'll also need an adapter, I'd recommend the mayflash adapter. The official nintendo adapter works just as well but it's generally much more expensive.
Edit: The adapter is only needed if you want to play slippi. If you're only playing on console you don't need one.
I use this, once i downloaded the drivers and make sure the back is on PC mode, it works perfect every time and Outfox/Stepmainia recognizes it right away. I have this with two of the exact same wii mats hooked up to my PC and play everyday!

Mayflash GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U, PC USB and Switch, 4 Port
That's objectively wrong, most adapters other than the Nintendo or Mayflash 4 port have issues with either lag of compatibility. Keep an eye out and you'll see threads in the smash & Nintendo subs that get posted almost weekly trying to figure out what's wrong with their adapter, and 99% of the time it's because they have a different 3rd party adapter. Some add a frame or more of lag, some have weird input malfunctions, some aren't compatible with pc or the proper drivers needed for melee, etc.
/u/buarki12, I highly recommend just getting the Mayflash for $30 off amazon. $30 guarantees it'll work no matter what game you want to play and it'll be the best with least hassle. No idea what you experience with Amazon was one time but this has free returns if you're really worried so nothing to lose, just message them and they'll refund you.
I can only speak for Raphnet's SNES adapter, but it worked flawlessly for the 60 hours I have invested in Hollow Knight. No discernible input lag, adjustable polling rate, and a lightweight software manager than can be used to modify a few things like mapping the d-pad as buttons. Like-new Super Famicom controllers can be found on fleaBay at relatively affordable prices too. Just sort by price and look for a recurring seller shipping from Japan.

Mayflash's 4-controller Gamecube adapter has served me well too for Gamecube emulation. It took a little fiddling to get the drivers set up, and the Win10 Fall Creator's update nuked the drivers until I reinstalled them, but otherwise it has been smooth sailing. I actually ended up returning the official Nintendo 4-controller Wii U adapter after trying and failing to get drivers working with Win10 for several hours.

Does this one work?
You can get whatever controller you want, but I highly recommend just getting the brand new ones. They're great controllers filled with the best T3 parts, and if you want to customize you can always swap the shells. When you look at older controllers you should do a little research on what internals it has, T1, T2, or T3 (T1 stickboxes wear quickest, T3 last longest and are way easier to mod, repair, & maintain). Teal I believe can have any of the three versions so you'll have to check the markings on the back if you want to know which version. A teal T3 will have this dot etched into the back shell next to the CE. No dot with CE means T2, no dot no CE means T1.
And I recommend pairing it with a Mayflash adapter, they're cheap, but widely used in the community and works perfectly on all platforms, where some others don't play nicely with pc.
Why not get a Mayflash? Only $15, works like a charm.

Been using the Mayflash for a few years now, and It hasn't given me any issues at all. Highly recommend.
This is the USB adapter most people recommend. Also if you want to share an eBay listing for a controller here I'd be happy to check it out and let you know if it's a good deal or not!
Is it this adapter? I saw a review and did see someone say their WII mat works on PC.

Alright, I'll give it a shot. So just to make sure. Slot one will Calibrate Slot two instead of one? and sometimes the other way around? and don't worry I'm in the same boat. Should have been in bed like 5 hours ago. This really makes me want to go back to windows 7. Also would the new mayflash 4 port adapter work well with windows 10??? I might just fork over the $14 if this doesn't work.
Adapter for Wii U
You'll either want the official adapter or the Mayflash 4-port. Dolphin supports those two natively, but not the two port adapter.
It should be noted that the Mayflash adapter lacks controller correction, which isn't that big of a deal, but I'd still recommend the official adapter if you can get it for a similar price.
You can get a used black/indigo/platinum gamecube controller off of ebay for $40-50 after tax + shipping. Look for T3 versions with OEM sticks. OEM sticks have a small seam down the center of them.
Grab a 4-port mayflash gamecube adapter off of amazon for $20. https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-GameCube-Controller-Adapter-Switch/dp/B00RSXRLUE/
I also suggest checking the USB port by plugging in some other device and seeing if that works correctly. Although, the controller you linked to looks very shady IMO. I've had a lot of issues in the past with cheap Chinese GC controllers. If it's within your budget, a real Gamecube controller along with a Mayflash USB adapter will serve you well.

I don't think the adapter you linked has support for Direct Connect on dolphin. If you want 0 input lag with Direct Connect you're gonna want http://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-GameCube-Controller-Adapter-Port/dp/B00RSXRLUE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1442592800&sr=8-1&keywords=mayflash+gamecube+adapter or the official Nintendo adapter.
Well, You're not wrong
amazon is where I got mine, this is the third party one I got for my pc 18 months ago. No issues with it at all.
Honestly, I tried a USB controller and I never could get it to work. I’ve been using Mayflash’s USB GC hub for years and it’s worked perfectly even with my Wavebird.
Really easy to setup for Dolphin too. This tutorial says you can use the official adapter but the same method works for this too
Do you just not know how to search the internet or something? It's all there...
