Don't let the price/appearance fool you. Copycat models cost half as much but their suction ability is terrible and will fail on you.
This is simple and works with Samsung Note sized phones as well.
The suction power on this device is awesome. I just make sure to wipe dust off the dash with the back of my hand (no oils) before applying.
Someone recommended Aduro U-GRIP in another thread and I like it. I wish the Moto X had the ability to use Qi charging like the N5 because the magnetic mounts are very easy to use. The U-GRIP is strong and doesn't move. I live in New England and deal with lot of frost heaves and pot holes and sometimes you can't avoid them all and the phone doesn't budge when I hit one.
Ok then. I'll chose between yours and this one.
I use the Aduro U-GRIP PLUS and it works like a champ with the G3.
I use this: http://www.amazon.com/Aduro-UNI-SPH01-CM-Universal-Windshield-Smartphones/dp/B008ALV0V4/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1458622079&sr=1-1&keywords=Aduro+U-GRIP+PLUS+Universal+Dashboard
I just have it slapped on the dash next to the instrument cluster. Cheap and works fine, has a little wobble but doesn't bother me.
Edit: works with my iphone6 and nexus 5x no issues
I got one of these for my nexus 5, and it still fits my nexus 6 w/ project fi casemate case (a little bit of a stretch, but it fits):
