We rely heavily on strings of solar-powered christmas/led lights for most camp lighting. Those things are surprisingly effective. We also use this kind of thing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076K27JL8/ref=s9_acsd_top_hd_bw_bxYI7_c_x_7_w?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-3&pf_rd_r=ASFNCV71KAHH4PY1YED5&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=0390cf17-ffe6-5548-adb8-312270290f78&pf_rd_i=14193171 (that's an appalling URL... That's not an endorsement of the brand, but rather of the style.) If you pull the light off the stake, it'll drop right onto rebar stakes and the like. For indoor/tent lighting, things like this: https://www.harborfreight.com/household/lighting/3-pc-wireless-led-puck-lights-62901.html or battery powered camp lanterns do the trick for us. Given that I'm pretty much in my tent only to sleep, I never have to charge/change the batteries.
