Thanks for posting. Just because no one is responding, doesn't mean no one is reading, and its here for the future.
I fixed my hand problems years ago. It took a couple of years to figure it out. Probably self-massage was a big part of it. I used a tool called the Armaid. http://armaid.com
I had not heard of the Roleo - looks like a similar concept. Lots of interesting tools here: http://www.roguefitness.com/mobility-rehab including the Rolfex, another arm massager which is new to me.
The book I found most helpful was Conquering Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Other Repetitive Strain Injuries - by Sharon Butler. https://www.amazon.com/dp/1572240393/
Have not seen the Powerball before. I did use all kinds of hand strengtheners. Also just so you know, there are lots of finger strengtheners that are just for guitar players: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HKW09LA/
I am a big fan of Leo Kottke. He used to play with 5 picks - one on every finger including the thumb. Played a lot for decades, made many records. And then he started having problems with hands and fingers. I read just a bit about it a long time ago. But I remember that he had to learn to play all over again without picks.
One thing that may be helpful for anyone dealing with such things is to find a good bodyworker and work towards getting your whole body properly aligned.
Now I'm dealing with knee issues - much more difficult.
