Only use natural products. My tips are only comb and brush daily, never put oil/moisturizer/pomade in daily or wash daily. I wash once a week and put Argan oil in 2 or 3 times a week, and moisturizer 1 time a week after 3 weeks after a 1.5 haircut. People use wave caps on top of a durag because a durag doesn't give you even and/or enough compression. Never let your crown frustrate you; I'm 1 1/2 years in and I still haven't perfected my crown swirl! I suggest a swirl because beehive crowns can look like "bald spots."Bro trust me, if you don't pay attention to the crown early on, you might end up wanting to scalp to start your pattern over. The most important thing bro is using the firmest brush you can without discomfort, depending on hair length. You'll want to use a firmer brush on week 8 than week 2. Medium-hards are a must I don't condition or shampoo together, just one or the other because my hair is very thick and coarse, so I lose definition for the following 2 days if I do.

Trust me, unless you have straight hair, don't use curl enhancing smoothies, so many people get frustrated with how they over-curl and/or clog your hair.
