This is what I went with and they've worked perfectly for me. The adjustable height makes them fit to whatever space restrictions you have and they're already designed to mount the Index/Vive base stations so no special clamps or anything needed
Okay so I wrestled with my base stations for a while thinking i needed a third. You dont. You just need the two.
I bought these square base mounts on amazon that were super slick glass bases https://www.amazon.com/Skywin-Glass-Stand-Compatible-Constellation/dp/B07H8MZV5P/ref=sr_1_3?crid=26N2YE9INEDY1&dchild=1&keywords=valve+base+station+mount&qid=1605735629&sprefix=valve+base%2Caps%2C208&sr=8-3
and i stick them straight in the corners of my room. they hardly ever need readjustment. the corners of a square room have some sort of magic accuracy to them. im even using adjacent corners.
it is sooooooo smooth.
although they are always on. soooo... i connected them to a hue switch and now i can just press a button on my phone (or connect them to a smart lightswitch) to turn them off. otherwise they make an annoying whirring noise. not a big deal . you can get remote switches for 20$ online.
