What exactly do you consider cheap? The cheap USB erupters can barely mine any BTC nowadays, you'd really need to be committed to spending $5k+ for an ASIC that can actually mine anything.

e.g. these guys are about as cheap as you're going to get, & they definitely won't manage to mine anywhere near $40 worth of BTC.
