Hi,

This is my first post to this sub. I couldn't find another post quite like this. I've got an ASMDS overhead light in my office where I'm setting up for video recording and streaming. I'd like to have one touch control of all my lighting. This overhead light seems to be the one challenge at the moment. The light came with a 2.4Ghz remote. I'd like to add a transceiver to one of my PIs and be able to set the correct bright level when prepping for video.

I'm looking for a couple of things.

  1. A recommendation for a tutorial and library for setting this up. The tutorials I seem to be finding are related to addressable RGB lights, etc...
  2. Either info on the specific protocols/commands for this type of light or suggestions for how to capture the commands being sent by the existing remote so I can figure them out for myself.
  3. Recommendations for how to wrap the command sets in a simple API that I can call from a machine on my network, so I can set the light to the correct level as part of a macro/command.

I'm happy to provide whatever additional detail needed to point me in the right direction. Any help is much appreciated.
