I'm using a simple, no-name USB-C to multi-adapter (no longer on Amazon) for my wired controller, and my wireless mouse 'n' keyboard and that works fine. I also have a USB-C to dual hdmi (port 1 for 4k/60hz), and this is also working fine to my tv (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QKVY23Q?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share). I have a MBP 15" 2019 standard. I just had to turn off the " Motion Rate" settings on my Samsung 4k to prevent screen tearing. None of the V-Sync or Framerate settings in Batman: Arkham Knight were helping with that...
I ordered this on Amazon and it works for what I need. I just needed my two external monitors to work with the laptop and this does the trick. Not sure why the docking station didnt work or if you need the entire docking station, or just the monitors. I can plug my mouse and keyboard into the sides of the laptop, no need for the other stuff. Just in case this helps you brotha!

I have tried at least one dongle and what appears to be a decent USB-C to HDMI cable based on the the previous suggestion on fakespot usage.
Tried this

Then tried

With a couple of these

I have tried swapping the refresh rate between 59/60hz and there is no difference. Screen still frequently flickers/loses sync.
Use Amazon Prime just in case you have to return it. The model I have I don't see anymore but this is exactly like it.
