Ha, you and me both. There are a lot of options out there, but none are super great that don't also cost a fair bit of coin. The floor is something you do need to keep an eye on for sure, but if you are religious about putting the cover on when it rains and for sure over the winter, then the floor should probably be fine. But as an insurance policy I wish I had the forethought to know that I would not be that responsible and had waterproofed the floor ahead of time.
That paint was my original plan before I just decided to throw in a new carpet instead. I have like 30 amazon packages of things that have stacked up for the boat because the flooring has taken so much longer to remove and replace than I originally thought it would.
