VIOFO and Blackvue provide good dashcams. Check out their websites and see what would work for you.

This is what I use, https://www.amazon.com/Viofo-Dashboard-Camera-Vision-G-Sensor/dp/B07CT6JPYW It is very noticeable in the front, especially when parked and the sun hits just right, but you could get a tint strip to provide more privacy. I think the Blackvue cameras could be hidden more easily based on their design. I'm not sure if there's anything out there that could be integrated with the already installed backup camera.

This is the one I ordered, but it looks like all of the deals have been claimed. Keep an eye on it though because if they're putting it on sale now, it could be a Black Friday deal too.

Hi. I was looking in to buying a dash cam, and was wondering if the "A129 Duo" and the "Rexing V1P 3rd Gen " will record 24/7, even if the car is off, as we had a lot of problems with people driving in to our car at night.

I ran around the internet looking for the best one. At the time everything seemed to point at this one, which I bought for my brother (I don't have a car, and he had a birthday). It works extremely well for him, and I found positive reviews from sources that weren't AI-generated blogspam.

I believe the one I linked can be on in case of a collision, which would be helpful. It also has a dedicated camera for the front and the back, so you aren't looking through the cabin to the rear window.

It claims to have three parked modes:

A129 Plus has 3 parking mode solutions for you to choose, Auto Event Detection will automatically start recording once any event is detected; Time Lapse continuously records a video at low frames. Low Bitrate keeps recording continuously in mini file size

but my brother doesn't use those features on it.

I've got this. https://www.amazon.com/Viofo-Dashboard-Camera-Vision-G-Sensor/dp/B07CT6JPYW

Front and back.

Works decent. No wiring. I've tucked the wires they give you under all the trim pieces and carpeting, including the rear camera. The rear cable runs down the side under the floormat under the glovebox and back. I have a sedan so it just sits at the top of my back window. They provide some stick tape and plastic clips which kind of work, but they fall off after a while in the heat.. Still. not bad for the 120 or so i paid years ago.
