You can prop one leaf....the one resting on your fingers. The other leaves don't look healthy enough to propagate.
As far as the plant ....based on how I cultivate mine, I never let the soil dry out completely.
Mine sit directly by a north-facing window. I have two sitting 36-inches from an east-facing window. Slide 4, 5...north-facing window.... https://www.instagram.com/p/CiDd9FfJqw8/
I have all of my plants setup in DIY self-watering pots. Maximum size is 3-inches in diameter. Or you can purchase something similar to these... https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07WCLR9HV/ Check the inside diameter, not outside.
Try to raise the soil line in the pot...it facilitates air circulation. Don't bury the bottom of the crown in soil. It needs to sit right on top of the soil.
Even if you stay with a traditional pot, I would suggest routine fertilizing. These plants are heavy feeders. They need to be repotted at least once every two years if not earlier.
I fertilize every water reservoir refill with this.... https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B007BVNNI2/
I also make sure I prune off any dead structures. If left, can facilitate breeding of nasty pathogens.
Lastly, nice air circulation.
