While I'm waiting for my meds to kick in, these are the things I reach for:

The classic headache hat - I reach for this the most

This eye massager - I use this as a preventative, too - a few nights a week I'll do a full massage

This pain relief mask/eye pillow which is basically like an eye-only version of the headache hat

Just some suggestions! My mom got me the headache hat for a Christmas gift one year and it's one of the best gifts I've ever received. I don't even put mine in the freezer or fridge, whatever material it's made out of (and whatever's in the pockets on it) is cooling enough that I just keep it in my bedside table and put it on tight when I'm waiting for meds to kick in and it immediately has a cooling effect (which, along with the pressure, really helps as I wait!).

I have a weighted eye mask. I used to wake up in the mornings with sinus headaches or migraines. Ever since I got the mask I sleep better and my headaches are less frequent.

I had my first surgeries late Aug so I'm fantastic now. I had orbital decompression, lid retraction repair, and ethmoidectomy on both eyes. My peripheral vision is back, light sensitivity is a lot less, eye dryness isn't as bad. Pain is almost gone. My right eye was bugging me the other day but it only lasted a day. I still sleep with an eye mask as my right eye still can't close all the way. I'm still kind of embarrassed of my right eye as I feel it still looks like a crazy eye but the Dr is going to revisit the lower lid and also do the upper lid

Eye masks..I have a few (they all feel different so I rotate depending how I feel as to what kind of pressure I want on my face) I also have a cheap silky sleep mask when I don't want weight, but still need my right eye shut as I sleep: Sivio Weighted Eye Mask for Women... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Y8SSXXW?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
