Title: [EU-GR][Price Check] Acer Aspire E15 E5-575-33BM 15.6 FHD upgraded w/500gb SSD and 8gb Crucial DDR4

This laptop here with the mods mentioned in title: https://www.amazon.com/Acer-E5-575-33BM-15-6-Inch-Notebook-Generation/dp/B01K1IO3QW?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1 .

From a quick search like it's selling used for 300+ USD in the US with no mods on ebay, and in Greece laptops are crazy expensive so maybe I should try to local craigslist equivalent (I'm a US expat).

It's in fine shape, the only problems are that one USB of three USB ports is not working (could be a simple fix, I am not a hardware guy). Otherwise it looks good and runs great, and I'm considering keeping it the more I read about what I could get in the budget market these days, especially living in Greece.

Please let me know what you think this might be worth sold online in the EU, and likewise if anyone here might be interested. If I'm not being specific enough, I can do my best to clarify.

Thank you for the info! Any chromebook suggestions? I have been looking around and I found this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K1IO3QW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Obviously not a chromebook but I am only hearing good things about it and I like what I am seeing. Would a chromebook be much better than this to warrant getting one instead?

You are correct. It will successfully boot up off of a USB and will try to install.

As far as if it has an m.2 drive, I dont think it does. Id need to check.

This is the exact type of laptop that I have if it helps: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K1IO3QW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

What are you thinking is the issue?

For this price I would go for the Acer E5-575-33BM.

This Dell uses a very limiting 1366x768-resolution display. 1366x768 resolution doesn't let you fit much onscreen. It doesn't let you properly take advantage of the size of a 15.6" display, it just makes everything onscreen large. This kind of a difference is likely to affect how nice your computer is to use more than the differences between most other specs.

If you want the Acer to match the 8GB RAM in the Dell, get an extra 4GB RAM stick for $25 to install alongside the existing 4GB. Doesn't impact your warranty and is easy to install and take back out again. And if you're worried about CPU performance, the i3 beats the A9 anyway.
