I've been seeing calmer ads for six months so i finally gave in. They literally got here two days ago and have only been home with them so I'm not sure about them yet. But initial impression was that something was different.

Immediate cons are that it does nothing for voices that are too loud and it might take some time to get used to them physically - some discomfort, itchiness, etc in my ears.

The best things I've ever worn were earlier versions of these. I don't even use them for music, I just put them on when I'm working to focus. I haven't tried the newer ones because I bought like three pairs and asked for more for Christmas lol. They do muffle voices though so depending on your experience it might make people less understandable. And, of course, they have wires. Maybe you could cut them off though?
