Thank you! Just ordered one after confirming the overwhelmingly positive reviews on amazon (FYI they're available for much cheaper on Ebay). This sounds like just what I need to keep me warm sitting in the deer stand, and for my dog to sleep on when we go winter camping.
Are you experiences with the newer nylon shell version or the Vietnam-era parachute silk ones? They're both supposed to be good, I ordered the nylon but some reviews said the silk ones are better.
I recommend Woobies/Poncho liners.
Contrary to the name. They’re blankets that insulate very well. Every American service member who’s been issued one will live and die by them.
Relatively inexpensive. Can be paired with sleeping bags. All around great to have when in the cold elements. They also pack very small, taking up little room in bags.
Another thing I’d add. These fleece jackets issued to the military. They’re incredibly warm.
