If you're sticking with bowden which I recommend for a little while, you should just get the metal replacement one in either the single or dual gear. I ran the single gear for a while but after doing some speed improvements I wanted the dual gear to prevent the slippage that felt like was happening.
Also you should probably replace the bowden in the hot end with capricorn, at least that portion. You can look up the Luke Hatfield/CHEP hot end fix, there's a good video by CHEP. Print all 3 sizes of the little washers before you take anything apart though. I stuck with the stock tube the rest of the way and the higher temp capricorn inside the hot end.
Great tips and thanks for sharing your experience! It really is not to difficult if you take your time and watch the so many videos on setup and config.
When he says he upgraded his bowden tube, he most likely means to a Capricorn bowden tube that can handle higher heat and not necessarily the fittings. But my stock fittings did break(the tube pulls out and then it never stays in well again. Def get some extra fittings.
Yes, the bowden tube clips used to come with the printer at one time I believe. They are not 100% necessary. They just help hold the fitting collar in place so the tube has less of a chance to slip out when the bowden tube flexes while printing in the corners of the bed.
You will learn print times and how long things take. When you slice your own g-code, the slicer(Voxelmaker, Cura, etc) will give you a fairly good estimate of print time.
One of the biggest mistake that people make is not squaring all frame parts, not fully seating bowden tube in hot end fitting, Belts too loose or tight, and eccentric nuts too loose or tight on the rails.
Happy printing. Do you have a first "real" print in mind yet?
edit: the links that I put in my post are for photo reference only. Not necessary the best or correct parts for a specific printer. or the best price either.
You mean this one ?

Disconnect the other end of the tube.
Unscrew the coupler (the nut with the black ring), and pull it up along the whole legnth of the ptfe tube. It has one-way teeth and if you've been pulling at it a bunch they might have bent a bit. That's a replaceable part tho, super cheap.
With the coupler out of the way, you should be able to get the tube out of the hotend. If you have trouble gripping the tube, use pliers and don't worry about damaging the tube - ptfe is also easy to replace. Don't buy it from the Weedo site, $15 is stupid for that tiny amount of cheap tube. Look up capricorn ptfe tube on amazon and get the good stuff. It even comes with new couplers.
just replace that fitting, they are cheap. replace the tube too, yours looks a little chewed up
Look at the seller under the "Buy Now" button and make sure it says "Sovol." That is who I bought it from, and I've printed at 270c for ~20 hours on my X1 (pctg, cousin material to petg that prints a tad hotter) and checked for any signs of deformation/charring and had none.
