I agree this type of connector is nicer. I would have trouble using this particular one on my motorcycle's tires, however, because the disk brake reduces the clearance above the valve stem.

There are similar connectors that have a 90 degree bend, and those would be easier for me to use on my cycle. I think the OP's pump would need a connector with a barb fitting like these examples, but I'm not entirely sure. There are other replacement hose connectors that have a screwed hose fitting if that's needed.
