Do not attempt any other method other than pulling the tick straight out. If you burn it, put isopropyl on it, or use another method that might damage it before it is removed it will likely regurgitate more saliva into the bloodstream than it already has.
I exclusively use forceps, but there are other tools for extraction that work as well. For forceps turn them so the tip is parallel with the skin and use the side to grip the tick by the mouthparts, then pull straight out. Using the actual tip of the forceps could damage the tick, and gripping by the body instead of the mouthparts will squeeze it, again causing regurgitation.
This is a tick removal tool that can be kept on your keychain that works by getting under the body and at the mouthparts. There are plenty of similar options if you search for "tick removal tool". https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Pain-Free-Effective-Essential-Activities/dp/B0B426WQQ2/ref=mp_s_a_1_12_sspa?adgrpid=54917384046&gclid=CjwKCAiAnZCdBhBmEiwA8nDQxVqD53445oBbeqajbyRhiXXTOHjGImOIa4KtK7Opw_lkgLOSpuAZvBoCqhQQAvD_BwE&hvadid=617073467911&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=1018603&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=5713353551452948586&hvtargid=kwd-303903271435&hydadcr=15193_13597801&keywords=tick+remover+tool&qid=1671724502&sr=8-12-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExUUU4TkZTR1FaV0tPJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNTA0OTI0SktNRUtJTTZNWFM3JmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAwODMzMTNZRzdVR0VWRFU4RE8md2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfbXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
