Stuff that we don't use much (yet) or don't like
We got this baby monitor, but we really don't use it much because our baby is usually in earshot. The parent units are wireless, but the baby unit isn't, which is frustrating because where our baby sleeps is variable. Keep in mind the range. My wife originally wanted one that had a 2500' range. That's half a mile and totally unnecessary for us. The monitors seem to work okay, at least, though.
We use this crib setup. We liked it for its wheels, thinking we could move it around the house. However, the crib is so big that we can't move it out of the nursery. Also, baby doesn't really like sleeping in it, so we just don't use it much . . . yet.
My mileage for muslin swaddling cloths like these has been very meh. Because muslin stretches, you think you're getting a great swaddle on your little baby. However, your baby is probably strong enough to wiggle enough and get loose because it’s so stretchy. Traditional cotton or flannel cloths or maybe slightly stretchy cloths work best for me.
She kicks socks right off, so we don't even bother. We also don't use baby towels much.
