This is the song that they are referring to: https://www.amazon.com/Wicca-Moonlight/dp/B018RHIZQ8

It is literally just Moonlight Sonata with a horrible reverb on it.

The album title is "The Ancient Wicca: Harmonic Spirit (The First Collection of Wicca Music and Concentration Sounds)".

The distributor is Molland Records which I presume is a private label considering the artist, Alice Violet Molland.

This piece, written 220 years ago by a man who is dead, is in public domain. Derivatives of the work can be created. You legally CANNOT copyright any part of the original piece that has entered public domain, only derivative additions (if you put a synth over it or a arp or sine, for example, those can be copyrighted, but the actual melody cannot be) as can be read on the copyright.gov site.

"The copyright in a derivative work covers only the additions, changes, or other new material appearing for the first time in the work. Protection does not extend to any preexisting material, that is, previously published or previously registered works or works in the public domain or owned by a third party."

This copyright claim is flat out not legal.

I have e-mailed TheQuartering (I don't like the guy but he knows how to make noise) and I have also e-mailed penguinz0/MoistCr1TiKaL/Charlie. I suggest you all do the same.
