Then hire an integrator to give you wall plate connections.

We do have an integrator, but I'm not sure how that would fix the issue with wanting a combined cable to then go from that wall plate to a BYOD setting.

What you're asking for does not exist.

Sometimes when you think things don't exist, you go an ask a forum like this in case you are missing a solution.

There is not a single cable that is USB and HDMI in one cable

?? But there is I posted it in my initial post. Its just not USB 3. https://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-HDMI-USB-Combo-Cable/dp/B07R81VJHZ

and even if there was you wouldnt have that interface in your BYOD devices (or any device)

Yes I would. May BYOD devices have HDMI with a USB 3.0 port next to them. When I surveyed the external vendors that come in, the majority have HDMI and USB 3.0 on their devices.

it would still split back to HDMI and USB

Correct. That is what I want it to do. See the link I provided in my initial post. Or think back to the days of VGA with the 3.5MM audio cable ran with them. Remember those? it was only a decade or so ago.

Not sure why 2 cables is such a big deal

It's not, we simply wanted to make sure we weren't missing a better solution than the one we currently implement.

especially when the option for C is there that does exactly what you're asking but you don't want to use it.

So this confuses me, as I don't remember saying I don't want to use USB C. I stated we wanted to have both available. With BYOD you have to plan for devices that may not have USB-C on them if they are older. Maybe in another 2-3 years they will be fully phased out, but until then we want to have flexible solutions.
