Use a strong magnetic mount instead for outside your car. It's unaffected by temperature changes unlike adhesive or suction mounts.

The rare earth magnetic base has a 40lbs of resistance, and the rubber coating over the magnets means you won't scratch up your paintwork.
Other magnetic mounts (like ones that attach to your clothing) may not be strong enough to secure your camera in place.

This can be used with any GoPro mount and you just rotate the end to line your camera up vertically.
