I'm not picky with my coffee :P

It's again lead-acid

The picture says lead-acid but the specs say that it's lead-calcium and deep cycle. Does that not mean that it's able to be discharged more than the lead-acid batteries? We were looking at this one at first but switched to the Weize one because it looks nearly identical spec-wise from what I could tell but was cheaper.

You don't need to keep the battery warm all winter.

Ah, gotcha. I didn't realize the battery would be able to recover in warmer weather but now that you mention it, that makes sense considering car batteries don't die after just a year of use.

Do you plan to use this often?

Not too often. We have 3-4 parties there each year and then some people will sporadically camp out there independent from the rest of us. We do have a generator out there but it does put a damper on the mood when you're talking around the campfire and hear a motor running 100 feet away.

We have floated the idea of using the generator to recharge the system/run the console but ideally we'd like to get the system on 100% solar. Some of us hunt in the area so the less noise the better.
