That's a bad starting point. Home Light sockets are not rated for 15 amps ( 1600watt light bulb? 150w-200w max, with label/rating), and there is no ground in that setup (A E26 bulb socket does not supply a ground). If the box has a ground available, suggest replacing the lamp socket with one that has a grounded socket built in, or just an outlet that's grounded.

If you want to draw higher power from a light socket, use a mogel socket ( E39, up to 400-600w-ish).
