They are expensive but definitely worth it. I use a metal comb to clean the fur out.

Edit: I also use this shampoo https://www.amazon.com/Douxo-PYO-Shampoo-16-9-500/dp/B0949RKDYC/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=1SZ6MQ6RT33LU&keywords=dog+s3+shampoo&qid=1642191557&sprefix=dog+s3+shampoo%2Caps%2C79&sr=8-3 My vet recommended it. I have used it as often as three times a week for dandruff and skin allergies. I still use it to keep their skin healthy.

So I have a weird update on this. Even with my magic oil (lol) I was still getting a boil every couple of months. Not super bad, but still required a bandage and care. I did a ton of research and came across a substance called ophytrium that has been shown to strengthen the skin's natural barrier. The only catch is that so far it can only be found in the product which the company patented it for which is a DOG SHAMPOO!

Well I took the plunge and I bought it and used it as directed, I first wash the area with normal soap then apply the dog shampoo and let it sit while I wash my hair etc (about 5 mins total) and then rinse. This has been the game changer for me, since I started using the doggo shampoo I have been 100% breakout free. I do still apply my oil post-shower just for the hydration and vitamin E (can't hurt might help). The link to the shampoo is below.
