I use these organizers from Dollar General. If you order enough (8 or more, I think) they will ship them free to your local store for pickup. These organizers are cheap, clasp shut, and have rounded bottoms which makes scooping counters out easier.
Unfortunately, they appear to be on backorder, so you may have to wait a bit for them.

For clipping counters, I use the Oregon Laminations Corner Rounder. It's pricey, but it works well and with no fuss. If you want to go cheaper, I'm sure you could make some sort of tray and use a nail clipper.

Welcome to the hobby and feel free to ask any questions that may come up!
I clipped all my ASL counters(12,000+) with finger nail clippers and a jig I made from a CD case. I bought one of these back when he was selling them for 5 dollars, it works well also. Last year I bought this corner clipper it works ok, but you have to be careful when using it or you can mangle the counters. Clipped counters just look better on the maps/boards to me. It also makes the counter much more uniform for stacking purposes.
This one is worth the little bit extra. QC has slipped recently, but they will ship replacements.
