Maybe something like this?
That's one thing you have to watch out for - when you get rid of one of these habits, it's sometimes replaced by another. Once I stopped with my fingers, I started picking at my lips. Key is to tackle the new habit early before it gets just as bad. So, it's good that you're trying to get rid of it asap.
If you go to Amazon and type "finger covers", it will give you a long list of them. I personally have not tried them, but I've taped my fingers before to provide a physical barrier so I'd imagine any of the covers you find would work the same way. Here's one example: disposable latex finger cots rubber. You could also buy regular latex gloves at a local store.
For the time being, until you find what you're looking for, try doing this: every time you reach to pick a cuticle, squeeze the tip of your finger really hard instead. Try to train your brain to redirect your urge to pick toward squeezing/pinching your finger. Over time, you'll have the habit of squeezing your hand... but at least it'll look much nicer than tearing your skin!
Hope this helps, good luck!
