You are right. On the one hand, I enjoy different viewpoints of the same (broader) topic. On the other hand, I look for books that are still somewhat unique.
Some of my favorites (Title - Author):
- The Flinch - Julien Smith (very short, very precise, very cheap. you can't not take action after reading it. $3 on Amazon. Get it now!)
- Awaken the Giant Within - Tony Robbins (how to achieve stuff)
- The Power of Habit - Charles Duhigg (self-explanatory)
- Radical Honesty - Brad Blanton (advantages of being totally honest)
- Models - Mark Manson (correlated with Radical Honesty: why being 100% authentic makes you more attractive)
- The Open Focus Brain - Les Fehmi (currently reading, why being in a constant state of focused awareness is bad for us, and how to reverse it. It's accompanied by 3 CDs that are vital since it teaches a form of meditation to de-condition your focus.)
- Flow - Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi (yes, I had to look that up)
- How to Win Friends and Influence People - Dale Carnegie (classic)
- The Way of the Superior Man - David Deida (on life's purpose)
- The Power of Now - Eckhart Tolle (pretty spiritual, but nothing voodoo)
- The Definitive Book of Body Language - Allan Pease (very thorough, with pictures. I'd advise hardcover, because you can't just learn it all from reading it once)
- Women's Anatomy of Arousal - Sheri Winston (yup, it's what you think. and it's great. given the sub we're in, I should probably warn you about images.)
