Thanks! That was a very helpful reply! I will try this. In the time passed I figured out the LED spec and I meant to link them for anyone else interested. Evidently they are actually 12v modules which makes sense, so there are 6 in series at the standard 2v a pop. Oddly, they have a limiting resistor on both the + & - leg. Although rated at 20mA I still can't even read a current when two of these run in parallel at full power. On the bike, they work as intended and then do a slow fade over almost a minute on parking as they drain some capacitor from the controller.

Anyway- that was all kind of an off topic curiosity to me anyway but its all I have to offer until I take another crack at wiring this. Thanks again!
