Cool yea I have Smash Remix on my ED64P too, works great.

There are some good Goldeneye mods too:

007 Pheonarx's Yet To Come

Goldeneye with Mario Characters

Goldfinger

These "miadore" hori style controllers with the gamecube style joycon work really well. And you can get 2 of them for the price of most other modern style controllers.

I don't know how good they are for Smash as I know people can be picky with controllers for fighting games like that.

Aftermarket classic style 3 prong N64 controllers really are as horrible as people say... stay away from those.

Similar story here, my wife stopped playing games after NES lol. Couple months ago she expressed interest in gaming so we dusted off my old N64 and I had to learn all this stuff.

We also picked up a Wii for like 60 bucks with 2 wiimotes. Got a mayflash hdmi adapter for like $13. Got some used "pro" controllers and light gun shells. Hacked the wii and added a 1tb HDD with NES, SNES, Genesys, PS1, Gamecube and of course Wii games. It's a blast!

The Mclassic works great with the Wii too so now I have both systems going into a splitter with the Mclassic on the output so they can share it.

I know other people in here shit on the Mclassic that "it doesn't do much" but I can tell you there is a difference at least when you are projecting the image as big as I am. Maybe on a small tv it isn't as apparent? But it definitely smooths and crisps things even more. I feel like its most apparent on text and HUD graphics. But you have to feed it a quality signal like someone else said. Maybe the people that don't like it were not using a line doubler? But it's not necessary, the 2x does a good job.
