Note: I don't know if this any of this will work exactly as I've never used most of these.

  1. To get a front USB port, I'd lean more on something like this
    1. USB Type C to A-Key extension cable (unscrew the port from the mount and then make a similar sized port on the front (Dremel a hole or remove an existing USB port) and screw it in there and connect back to the card. https://www.amazon.com/LINKUP-Motherboard-Extension-Key-Connector/dp/B07THC8ZVF?th=1
    2. Paired with one of these
      1. https://www.newegg.com/p/2S7-08E2-000W5?item=9SIAX3GJTE4683
      2. Motherboard with an A-key port for USB 3.1/3.2/4
      3. Adapter to convert a USB 3 port to an a-key port (or just a different cable that connects a USB C port to an older style USB3 motherboard port.
  2. I'd suggest trying another cable. You should have zero issues with a 3ft 100W extension cable degrading the signal. I have 3ft and 6ft USB C 100W extension cables that look similar to what you found on Amazon, and they are even able to handle 130W coming from a proprietary USB C Dell power supply. I don't usually have issues holding 100W unless I combine the two into a 9ft cable.
  3. You mention a hub. Hubs rely on power and don't typically draw much from the primary cable (intended to be plugged into a laptop). Most of them have a power passthrough that they themselves can run on. If yours has that, try connecting a USB PD 30-100W charger to it and see if that resolves the issue with the hub. I'd also try a different hub or two.
