HTC Deluxe Audio Strap

VR Cover Deluxe Audio Strap Foam Replacement

VR Cover Halo Controller Protector

VR Cover Lens Cover

VR Cover Controller Grips

BOBOVR F2 Active Air Circulation Facial Interface

Rechargeable batteries for the controllers.

For the battery mount and the mounting adapter for the DAS I printed them with my 3D printers and I will provide links for if you have a printer and if you don't.

3D printer required

DAS mount

Battery Mount

Battery

Cable for the battery to the quest

No 3D printer

DAS Mount

For the battery there is a few different options, I would search Etsy and find one you like there are also more expensive nicer looking options out there.

I don't know about Air Link, but I used Virtual Desktop all the time and it was fine (Quest 1). I also modified my quest with the Vive DAS and it was waaay more comfortable, especially when velcroing a battery pack to the back which doubled as a counterweight. Looks like there's premade adapters for the Quest 2.

I wouldn't buy used now that Meta has reduced the new price back down to $300.

Your PC is fine for PCVR, and the Quest 2 can be used it, wired or wireless.

Yes on the VRCover facial interface. Oculus sent me one for free, but they no longer supply these.

For the strap, I use one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y2GDXMC/

It's not made for the Quest but it works well. People sell adapters, but I found that double-sided foam tape and a few zip ties works just fine.

  • Here's the Vive Deluxe Audio Strap on Amazon

  • 3d printed quest adapter on etsy. Here's a video on how to install the 3d printed adapters

  • Here's the 3d print file if you have the ability to print your own.

  • Here's how to do it yourself with velcro

  • For a case that will fit everything, here's the Apache 3800 from harbor freight. Use the coupon code 65661858 to get 20% off any single item, now through February 29, 2020. You can place the cardboard cut out shipped with your quest in the bottom to hold everything perfectly.

Discount is on warehouse deals under "Used/other" with the text "Save 10% at checkout"

Vive trackers (2.0/2018 ones on sale) $88 - 10% = $80

Vive DAS works on Pimax headsets with 3d printable adapters $73.59 -10% =$65

Lighthouse 1.0 $108 - 10% = $98

Edit: Vive 1.0 Controller $92.38 - 10% = $84

Thrustmaster Hotas $54.88 - 10% = $50

(All prices rounded up to the nearest dollar)

Edit: Fix lighthouse link

It's possible but it will be a bad experience. Bluetooth has latency which is fine for music but not fine for VR. Are you using the stock audio on the Quest? Because it's terrible IMO. If you can afford it, the Deluxe Audio Strap (DAS) for the vive provides much better sound but it's $100. You also need an adapter to attach it. This is the one I have. There's cheaper ones on Amazon but they're 3D printed on hobby level printers and these ones are injection molded. If you have a 3D printer however, you can get the files free on thingiverse.

Normally I’m against buying accessories before you even use anything to see what you even need.

But in this case you’ll need a head strap and a face cover. I couldn’t play mine for longer than 30 min before I got a head ache because of how bad the stock head strap is.

I’d suggest looking into the HTC Vive head unit with 3D printed adapters. It’s the same price and 100x better than all other straps on the market. Looks better too.

As far as the Kiwi cable. I just bought one yesterday for mine finally (after 2 years of owning it) for like $28 from kiwi Amazon direct. It’s the 16ft and the 2.0. Idk how long your is tho.
