I'm a huge fan of true crime novels. Here's three suggestions:

http://www.amazon.com/Imperfect-Justice-Prosecuting-Casey-Anthony/dp/B009JS6GUM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1358343412&sr=8-1&keywords=imperfect+justice - written by Jeff Ashton, the prosecutor of Casey Anthony. It's very well-written and has some really interesting insight into DNA. It follows the trial more than the crimes so if you aren't interested in the trial-side of crime, you probably won't like this very much.

http://www.amazon.com/Inside-Mind-BTK-Thirty-Year-Notorious/dp/0470325151/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1358343678&sr=1-2&keywords=btk+killer - About BTK aka Dennis Rader. This one's written by an FBI profiler who gave the cops strategies that ultimately led to catching BTK. This one goes in depth about each of his crimes.

My personal favorite: http://www.amazon.com/John-Wayne-Gacy-Defending-Monster/dp/1620870711/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1358343775&sr=1-1&keywords=john+wayne+gacy. I can't recommend this one enough. It's written by Gacy's defense attorney and discusses conversations between Gacy and his attorney. It delves into each of his crimes and Gacy's personality. It's very detailed. I consider myself somewhat of a Gacy expert and still found out new information about him.
