I've got a bunch of foam soccer balls lying around that Kim and one of my other cats, a calico-tabby named Alice, love to play with. Throw one enough times and pick it up, and maybe she'll learn to bring it back to you. Alice has actually brought me a ball and dropped it on my keyboard while I'm surfing or working, and I didn't teach her that. Kim has yet to learn the finer points of fetch.

Kim has a strange habit of putting those foam balls in her food dish and in the water bowl. I don't know if she does it to see if it's safe to eat/drink, or if she just likes the company of the ball, like it's an imaginary friend.

We have a tall scratching post sitting by the fireplace. One game Kim likes to play is "Capture the Flag". We take a small wand toy that has some felt fabric strips on it, sit it on the mantle so that the strips hang over the side, and Kim will climb the scratching post, swat at the strips, making the toy fall to the floor, then jump off the post and play with the toy.
